Life difficulties can propel us forward or they can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, angry and depressed. They can take a toll on our interpersonal relationships. They can also make us feel like our entire life is out of balance. Kristen invites you to a safe environment where you can openly process difficult life experiences so that you can live a more fulfilling life with more meaningful relationships.
Kristen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples and families who have experienced trauma as a whole. She works from a core belief that our minds and body are interconnected. Past traumatic experiences get stored in our bodies and physical symptoms can manifest, especially if you or your loved one experiences emotions intensely.
Kristen has delivered therapeutic interventions to individuals and families in many different clinical settings including outpatient, home, school, community and hospital settings. This has resulted in her gaining experience with many acute presentations and complex struggles. She has training in complex trauma and takes a holistic approach to therapy by integrating trauma-based interventions and modalities that teaches her clients to regulate their nervous system so they can feel one with themself and connected to those in their life. She also incorporates energy work into treatment, as well as other treatment interventions that promote a sense of peace in the present moment.
Kristen strives to obtain clinical growth and shows interest in innovative therapy modalities. She is currently a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist here at Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and facilitates Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Groups.
Entering or reentering therapy can be a difficult decision that induces doubt and fear. Kristen is able to empathize with this difficult decision and she will meet you exactly where you are without judgment. She believes each person has the capacity to heal and she invites you to contact her if you feel she can assist you on your healing journey.
