Having worked in acute settings, I’ve seen the importance of stabilization—but in private practice, I get to focus on what comes next: healing, growth, and truly understanding each patient over time.

  • Dr. Ashleigh Anderson is a double board-certified psychiatrist in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry who brings a deeply compassionate, whole-person perspective to mental health care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Gannon University and her medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency and fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Throughout her career, Dr. Anderson has worked in acute psychiatric settings, where she developed expertise in diagnosing and treating complex mental health conditions. While this work provided a strong clinical foundation, it also illuminated the limitations of a solely symptom-based approach. She became increasingly drawn to a model of care that considers the full human experience—mind, body, environment, and lived story—rather than focusing on diagnosis alone.

Guided by this philosophy, Dr. Anderson has expanded her work to include integrative and emerging treatment approaches that support deeper, more sustainable healing. She has completed training with the SoundMind Institute as a psychedelic medicine facilitator and is particularly interested in the evolving role of psychedelic-assisted therapies. Her work is rooted in creating a safe, intentional space where patients can explore insight, process experiences, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.

At the heart of Dr. Anderson’s approach is the belief that healing is not something imposed from the outside, but something that unfolds from within. She partners with her patients to help them access their innate resilience, cultivate self-understanding, and move toward lasting transformation and well-being.
