Dr. Amin graduated from medical school at Mumbai University's Topiwala National Medical College in 1990. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at UMDNJ in 1994 and completed her child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania's Philadelphia Child Guidance Center in 1996.
She is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and has over 34 years of experience in the field. She has treated adults, children, and adolescents in various settings. Dr. Amin has opened and operated both child and adolescent partial programs and has treated children in both inpatient and hospital-based outpatient practices.
Dr. Amin is a clinical associate professor at Drexel University/Tower Health and thoroughly enjoys teaching child fellows, having been involved in mentorship programs for over 12 years. She has also been active in researching resilience development in children through mood and anxiety disorders.
