Julia is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who has been providing both direct care and oversight and supervision of care in the field for approximately 10 years. Julia has experience working in multiple levels of care, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient settings, both community-based and private practice. She has also provided program development and supervision while in her previous role as a Program Director. In this role, and others, she supervised master’s level clinicians and provided licensure supervision for therapists working towards gaining licensure. Using a strengths-based, person-centered approach, Julia implements empathy, warmth, and compassion.
While providing direct care, Julia employs an eclectic approach as each client presents differently. She has experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, grounding techniques, and elements of attachment-based therapy. Julia also has extensive crisis management experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Lastly, she has experience facilitating group, family, and individual therapy across all ages. Everyone wants to feel heard and understood, and Julia strives to achieve this in her everyday practice.
